August 9: Solemnity of Saint-Tugdual

The solemnity of the festival of Saint-Tugdual of Saint-Dolay (festival on August 11) took place this year on Sunday August 9. HB Mael chose this date to make official the new Eucharistique Liturgy on which the fathers of the monastery have worked for ten years. Celebrated each day of the week in the monastery and in the majority of the parishes on an experimental basis, it has evolved over the years, finally finding completion with the creation of the liturgical music, thanks to work of François Gineste. Her speciality is adapting the French language to the melodies of Gregorian chant, and also taking inspiration from other traditions. A number of clergy from various parishes attended the Liturgy, including Fr Alexander from Edinburg.
