Day of Creation, on October 4th
For a number of years, we have devoted one day to Creation, the Saturday which precedes solemnity of Saint-Francis of Assisi
Bishop Marc taught on the place of Creation in the spiritual life in Christ. He then gave a presentation on the life of sea-beds in Brittany, in order to show the importance of protecting the sea as part of the equilibrium of our planet. Bishop Marc is monitor of diving and marine biology of the French Federation of Studies and Underwater Sports. Then, a pilgrimage took place in the afternoon to Saint-Gildas-of-Rhuys (56) situated at the edge of the sea. Below are some photographs of the walk to Saint-Gildas-of-Rhuys.
Like every year, the solemnity of Saint Francis of Assisi is a time of gathering for the Church in the parish of Notre-Dame-du-Signe
Saint Francois, who resembles the Celtic fathers, is the patron of the monastery of the Holy-Presence. On this day, an adult baptism, an entry into the Church and the ordination of a presbyter were all celebrated during the Eucharistic Liturgy. After vespers, Bishop Mael, abbot general of the monasteries, received the monastic vows of the three nuns of the monastery of Holy-Clotilde and of the new priest ordained that morning.
