Parish of Saint Nikodem

The new monastery

The parish of Saint Nikodem (North Brittany) was enriched by a new altar server. Father Nathanaël (rector of the parish) blessed Louan Guidou on the 2nd March at the Liturgy.  Father Nathanaël goes once a month to celebrate the Liturgy.

On the 25th February, with the help of some members of the Church, the nuns moved into their new building, some three kms from the monastery of Saint Presence.

The new monastery is about 30m long, with outbuildings, on land of appx. 400m2. A stone well suggests that a spring had supplied this isolated place.  Numerous trees grow in this oasis of peace.  The religious need help and gifts for the work and renovations to the house to transform it into a place for the monastic life and to welcome retreatants. The name of the Monastery is not yet chosen.

The new address is: Monastere des Moniales – Le Bois Rond – 56130 Saint Dolay
