 New incardination into our Church

Easter Day, Bishop Mael received into our Church Father Ignatius Rabinowitz

Multi-lingual, he currently speaks a dozen modern languages. He is also a specialist in ancient languages such as Hebrew, Armenian, Latin and Greek. He is also an expert in the Talmud. Of Russian origin, but living in Berlin, he was formerly a Franciscan novice in the Catholic Church, converting to orthodoxy in a church where he was ordained priest. After a stay in our monastery in 2009 and a relationship through letters with Bishop Mael, he decided to ask for his incardination into the Celtic Orthodox Church. Bishop Mael confirmed his priesthood during the course of the Eucharistic Liturgy at Easter and conferred on him monastic orders during vespers. Father Ignatius intends forming a monastic community in Germany. He will make regular visits to our monastery.
